About Salamoun Advisory

I'm Michael Salamoun, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Salamoun Advisory LLC.

I grew up in a small-business family. My mother owned a small hair salon and my father ran a small grocery store. I watched them build their businesses from the ground up. I saw the long hours, the personal investment, the responsibility, and the pride that comes with building something of your own.

Those experiences shaped the way I think about business.

They also taught me something I never forgot: for a small-business owner, the numbers aren't just numbers. They represent your livelihood, your employees, your family, and the future you are trying to build.

Over the last 18 years, I've had the opportunity to work with some of the world's largest organizations as a financial executive and advisor—leading financial statement audits, audit remediation, financial transformation, and technology modernization across public and private sectors. I'm also a CPA and hold an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. That experience has given me a deep understanding of accounting, finance, strategy, and the information leaders need to make better decisions.

But I've always remembered where my understanding of business started which was watching my parents run their small businesses.

I founded this firm to bring the financial discipline, insight, and capabilities typically available to much larger organizations to individuals and small businesses.

My goal is simple: to help business owners understand their numbers, make better decisions, and build stronger businesses.

Because small businesses deserve more than just an accountant who prepares the books. They deserve a financial partner who understands what it means to have your name, your money, and your future invested in the business.
